Notes from the Beach House

I live in downtown Toronto and, on a day-to-day basis, work with my health and human services management consulting firm – Liz Yorke and Associates. At the same time, I own and manage The Beach House on Hatfield Road in Nova Scotia, which is, without doubt, the most beautiful vacation rental beach house or cottage in the province. The Beach House is private, remote and a true vacation retreat on the Bay of Fundy - I love its seclusion and complete privacy & its spectacular panoramic ocean views - all day long, every day of the year. As an added bonus, it is the only vacation rental property actually on or near the beach in Fox River.

If you are thinking about traveling to Atlantic Canada this summer – by car, air or ship - please get in touch with me at liz@novascotiabeachhouse.com or at 416-481-4096 to discuss a customized visit to the Beach House. A reminder… the Beach House is an easy road travel trip for Canadian and American visitors – just over the Nova Scotia/New Brunswick border, which decreases driving time for visitors from Quebec, Ontario, Western Canada and the US. The Beach House is also a very easy drive from Halifax and Moncton International Airports for international visitors.

As tourism is slow in Canada right now, I’m organizing lots of specials for early and late summer, so be sure to get in touch with me if you are thinking about a Nova Scotia cottage for yourself or with your spouse, family or friends.

The Beach House on Hatfield Road: Nova Scotia Cottage Destination for couples, families with children and grandparents, and groups of friends

I’d like to share Central Nova Scotia with you – this coast has always had deep personal meaning for me, my family, and for the friends that I’ve been able to share it with. I feel very fortunate that I was able to purchase the beautiful, and unusual, land that the Beach House is built on – some of you know that I wanted that land ever since I was a child, and that it took three tries over more than 30 years to get it! What I loved and wanted most was its seclusion and privacy, and its location directly on two ocean beaches.

Family vacations at the Beach House provide lots of opportunities for enhancing family relationship and for experiencing quality memorable times together – photo opportunities abound!

The Beach House - the ideal spot in Nova Scotia to vacation with friends

Groups of friends – couples, mixed groups, women travelers - always enjoy the Beach House. This is cottage life at its best – time to relax, have fun, enjoy nature & coastal adventures, history and museums, live theatre, and catch up with each other, with enough space to enjoy being together and personal privacy.

The Beach House is also great for women’s retreats – for women of all ages and interests such as adventures, book clubs, cooking, crafts and hanging out.

2nd bedroom with 2 antique double beds; other sleeping areas include the main bedroom, second floor sunroom – with its own balcony and air tight stove - and the main floor office.

A well equipped kitchen and a separate dining room make for lots of room for eating together – from simple meals to special dinner parties with lobster and other fresh, local food. Morning coffee on the beach is simply exquisite!
